Do you know how many people grow up to be screw-ups because their parents were screw-ups? Alcoholics, abuser, tyrannic, addicts... They couldn't take care of themselves, what makes them think that they can take care of a child, mold and influence the child to be someone better? It takes a very special problematic parent to be able to do that, and that's probably about 1% of the world population.
Sure, no one is perfect. No parents are perfect either. But if you obviously have a problem, then wouldn't you make imperfect even worse?
It's a screwed up idea to think that a child can save a straining marriage.
'Oh, if only we have a baby to liven things up in the family, then maybe our relationship can get better.'
Right. What are you, delusional?
I have this belief that couples should have babies for their sake, to 'continue' their legacy. It doesnt work like that anymore. Instead of thinking what the baby can do to you, maybe you should start thinking what you can do for the baby. If you are a single mother looking to have a baby to fill that loneliness, then why don't you get a pet? I mean, a baby to fill your time?
Is it a wonder that some children grow up to be psychotic? Or something.
If you dont have what it takes, you shouldnt have a baby. Even if that means abortion. It's also a vicious cycle that carries on through generations.
Yes, I know, if Beethoven's mother made that choice aeons ago, we wouldnt ever heard of his beautiful symphony.
But Beethoven is one person out of many millions.
But hey, your life, your sins.
No, I'm not talking to or about anyone in particular.
